First, he started his career as a software engineer after he left the job under the guidance of his relative, Posani Krishna Murali he started working as an assistant for dialogue writing. He worked as a dialogue writer for films like Munna, Okkadunnadu, and Oosaravelli. He worked as a scriptwriter for the movies like Girl Friend, Bhadra, Brindavanam and Simha.

He made his directorial debut for film Mirchi in 2013 with Prabhas and Anushka in the lead role. The movie was Blackbuster hit in the Telugu industry. In his next, Srimanthudu features Mahesh Babu and Shruthi Hasan in lead roles. This movie also all-time and blockbuster hit.
