On the whole, SR Kalyanamandam is a father-son story with a good backdrop. Kiran Abbavaram and Sai Kumar do well in this village drama and hold the screen. If you ignore the unnecessary build up scenes and lag in the first half, this film ends as a passble watch for the songs and some good emotions in the second half.
There are few laughs here and there. Father-son scenes have come out well. Sai Kumar stands out in this old-fashioned story. He scores well. Kiran Abbavaram gets his points for acting, but fails in writing. College scenes could have been interesting and funnier. There are enough references to Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Balakrishna and their cult films and songs.
On the whole, “SR Kalyanamandapam” suffers from a lot of issues, but the main drawback is inconsistent narration with a weak plot. The only saving grace is Kiran Abbavaram’s screen presence.
The first half of SR Kalyanamandapam, wholly depending on entertainment, works in parts. Poor writing, half baked love track and a weak supporting cast are the culprits. After Kalyan (Kiran Abbavaram) revives the lost glory for SR Kalyanamandapam the story focus shits to his love track. SR Kalyanamandapam detailed review and rating will be live shortly. Stay tuned.
