Director Chandra Sekhar Yeleti failed to impress the audience with his pace of narration, especially in the second half. The way the director has handled the story delivered is unimpressive. Director Yeleti has failed in succeeding to engage the audience throughout the film. Check struggles in between the drama and crime angle. Neither of the two has been explored properly. The director has a very good and engaging storyline on hand but it did not get translated well onto the big screen. Else, it would have been completely different. The performances are good and Nithiin appeared in a different character, compared to what he played before. On the whole, Check is disappointing!
Check movie has the potential to be an engaging prison drama but falters in portions it’s supposed to excel in. It does have good bits and potential, but if you’re a fan of engaging prison dramas, it might leave you wanting. Yeleti does make you want to stay invested till the end, but only because you know what he's capable of.
Overall, Check has a weak plot, but there are engaging moments here and there. Its main issue is flat and dull execution with no sense of pain or excitement, thereby lacking gripping and intense narrative. Give it a try if you want to see something out of the routine.
